St. George PTO News
The St. George Greek Orthodox Educational PTO Board would like to inform the community about how we allocate our funds to help all the children of our cathedral.
Over the past years the PTO has been very successful due to support from parents, teachers, members of the church and friends. Three years ago our big purchase was the new whiteboards for all classrooms, which replaced the old and worn out chalkboards. Last year and the year before we purchased all new desks for the classrooms as well as made a donation to the annual Greek Festival, Other items have included Greek school Graduation gifts to top students, school supplies, new rugs for the pre-school room, a donation to the Agios Nectarios shrine, past breakfasts for Sunday of Lazarus, and Christmas and End of Year parties open to all kids of the church.
A few weeks ago, the current PTO board hosted its First Annual New Year's Eve Extravaganza which had a very successful turnout. So far, $3,000 of the profits have been donated toward new chairs for the Social Hall! Please be aware that these allocations help ALL students of the church programs!
